Pictured to the left are examples of our traditional standard jack.

The jack bodies are of fruitwood, cherry, pear, or apple, depending on availability.  The tongue is of holly and can be punched for either crow quill or the more common delrin and celcon.

The spring on the standard jack is of stainless steel and its tension is adjustable. More traditionally, boar bristle can be used, or some have preferred a form of nylon. All these options are available.

The axles are of nickel steel.
